7 Day Sri Lanka Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Negombo Arrival & Coastal Experience

Activities: Airport Pick-up, Negombo Fish Market, Lagoon Boat Ride.
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, your private chauffeur will welcome you and transfer you to Negombo, a coastal city near the airport. Relax by the beach and recover from your flight before enjoying a scenic boat ride on the Muthurajawela Marsh or Negombo Lagoon. You can also visit the Negombo fish market to experience local life and the traditional fishing culture. Day 02: Dambulla, Minneriya & Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle

Activities: Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (Optional), Dambulla Cave Temple, Minneriya Elephant Safari.
After breakfast, travel towards Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle and visit the historic Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient murals and Buddha statues. In the late afternoon, enjoy a 4x4 jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, known for its wild elephant gatherings.

Day 03: Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Kandy Cultural Experience

Activities: Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Spice Garden Walk, Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandyan Cultural Dance.
Start the day with an early visit to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient palace complex built on a massive rock. Continue to Kandy, with a stop at a traditional spice garden in Matale along the way. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance.

Day 04: Nuwara Eliya Tea Country & Scenic Highlands

Activities: Ramboda Falls, Ceylon Tea Factory Tour, Gregory Lake, Little England City Tour.
Travel through Sri Lanka's scenic central highlands to Nuwara Eliya, known for its cool climate, rolling tea plantations and colonial-era atmosphere. Stop at Ramboda Falls before visiting a Ceylon Tea Factory to learn about tea production and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea. Day 05: Scenic Train Journey to Ella & Ella Highlights

Activities: Scenic Train Ride from Nanu Oya to Ella, Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam's Peak.
Enjoy a scenic train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella through Sri Lanka's beautiful hill country, with train tickets arranged subject to availability. After arriving in Ella, your private chauffeur will meet you at the station. Day 06: Yala National Park Wildlife Safari & Southern Coast

Activities: Rawana Falls, Yala National Park Wildlife Safari, Southern Coastline Drive.
Leave the hill country behind and travel towards Sri Lanka's southern region, stopping at the scenic Rawana Falls along the way. Continue to Yala National Park for a 4x4 jeep safari, where you may encounter Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears and a variety of birds. After the safari, continue along the southern coastline towards your beach destination.

Day 07: Galle Fort, Southern Coast & Departure

Activities: Stilt Fishermen, Galle Dutch Fort, Sea Turtle Conservation Project, Airport Transfer.
On the final day of your Sri Lanka tour, travel along the southern coast and experience some of the region's highlights. Visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore its colonial architecture, lighthouse, cobblestone streets and local boutiques. Continue towards Colombo and the airport, with an optional visit to a sea turtle conservation project depending on your flight departure time.
